I was wrong—Dick & Patty arrived today in time for lunch. It was a nice day capped by the piano concert by Soviet émigré Vladimir Feltsman. Ron had met him in Russia a few years ago. That’s how we became aware of his plight. We worked until finally the Soviets let him & his wife & child come to America. It turned out to be a wonderful evening. Feltsman is a truly great pianist. He won over the entire audience.
