Nancy off at noon for Maine—to attend Anne Davis’s (her niece) wedding. Will get back this evening. An easy morning breakfast at 9 A.M.—then my radio cast. A lot of reading & then at 4 P.M. a great rubdown. Two phone calls to make. One at 7 P.M. to Congratulate Bob Hawke on winning election in Australia—an unprecedented 3rd term as P.M. Then at 8:45 to Cong. Mickey Edwards—a big birthday party in Okla. A violent thunderstorm delayed Nancys return but finally she arrived.
