Up & on our way to Miami Fla. at 9:10 to do a Repub. & Connie Mack fund raiser. Arrived Miami Airport at 11:40 A.M. We had Tommy Thomas, Connie Mack & Priscilla & Jose Casanova on board. Met by Gov. & Mrs. Martinez & several others. On to Omni hotel, met by St. Chairperson of the Repub. Party Jeannie Austin & the Chmn. of luncheon, Alec Courtellis. First meeting was a receiving line & photos with major donors. Then into meeting with 33 leaders of Cuban American society. I spoke to them & reassured them we were not getting soft on Castro. Then a meeting with small group of major donors to party & Connie Mack. Finally lunch—a large group ($800,000 worth). My speech was well received & I have hopes Connie will be our next Sen. from Fla.

Then back to A.F.1 & to the W.H. by about 5:25. After dinner received call from Howard B. that 3 of our Uniformed Secret Svc. and 2 now ex-employees of N.S.C. will be front page in the Wash. Post tomorrow for dealing in Cocaine. The 3 have been banned from the W.H. grounds. I’ll find out more tomorrow. Also had a call from Ron—the first in a long, long time.
