Off to Miami to address the Cuban Am. foundation. It was a thrilling experience. I was told there were 50,000 outside the hall hearing me as well as the 3 or 4,000 in the hall. I couldn’t count the standing ovations. All their businesses had closed for the occasion & the streets were lined with people cheering & applauding. Back to the W.H. in the afternoon and tonite the big U.S.O. special for Bob Hopes 80th Birthday at Kennedy Center. A galaxy of stars and a wonderful show.
