Ronald Reagan Celebration of Life

A Celebration of President Reagan’s Life
Here at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Reagan Foundation & Institute, we choose not to mourn the death of President Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan, but instead we celebrate their lives. Each February 6th since 2005, the anniversary of President Reagan’s birth, the Reagan Library hosts a celebration of his life at his Memorial Site. United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton places a wreath on President Reagan’s gravesite.

June 5, 2004
President Ronald Reagan passed away at age 93 with his wife and family at his side. On June 7, 2004, his casket came to the Reagan Library and lay in repose in the main lobby. 118,000 mourners from all over the nation and from all walks of life came to pay their final respects, leaving flowers, American flags, and other symbols of their grief at the campus.

Resting In Each Other’s Arms

The moon and stars will endlessly turn overhead and here they’ll stay, as they always wished it to be–resting in each other’s arms, only in each other’s arms ‘til the end of time.”
