A busy hectic day—but the Senate voted cloture & then passed the gas tax highway bill. Thank Heaven the Congress has now gone home. Final meeting with King Hussein. I believe we’ve made great progress and, unless the Israelis throw sand in the gears he should be back here in a few weeks to announce he’ll negotiate with them. A day full of meetings on Federalism, Women’s issues, the Private Initiative program etc.
