No Camp David this week. Spent most of day at my study desk answering a pack of letters Anne Higgins sent over as samples of what’s coming in. When I read them I cant help but answer them myself. One thing for sure they restore my faith or should I say sustain my faith in our people.
Late afternoon dressed up & went down to say Merry Christmas to our mil. & uniformed S.S. force—their annual visit (with families) to the W.H. The place was so jammed we could only stand on the steps.
