Met with Bill Casey re the Allen case & his appraisal of our W.H proceedings. Got some good advice. Lunch with Harriett & Ardie and then at 1 P.M. ran a movie, “The Reds.” It is a most imaginative job of film making. We had a room full including last night’s guests plus many others & including the pictures 2 stars. Warren Beatty, one of the stars, wrote, directed & produced the 3 hr. & 20 min. (plus intermission) movie. It should be a smash. After dinner went down to the main floor to see the Xmas decorations—they are truly beautiful.
