Did my radio talk at hotel then we took the helicopter from hotel parking lot to Anaheim Hilton Hotel—a brunch for Sen. cand. Cong.man Ed Zschau—running against Sen. Cranston. We did a photo reception line for about 100 couples—donors. Then into the brunch—which they would eat after I spoke & we left. Again it was the same enthusiasm but to about 2,000 people. Then into Marine 1 & off to Rancho del Cielo on a very beautiful day. Puttered around in the afternoon. Set up some Naval Binoculars & helped Barney & Dennis who are re-doing the patio.
