A morning ride on another beautiful day. Howard B. called to say we were issuing a disclaimer on a front page story—L.A. Times re a visit by Gorbachev. I believe & so does Howard that it was a fishing trip by the Soviets. Barney is in town so in the afternoon it was just Dennis & me up in the woods working on a riding trail. The tent people were on hand early to remove the party trappings & tent. Early to bed.
