Up at 8 A.M.—met with Terry Branstead Lt. Gov. & now cand. for Gov. Then on to Hartford Conn. to address 100th anniversary of Knights of Columbus. Card. Cassaroli (Sec. State of Vatican) was there. Total audience about 10,000. Again warmly recv’d. speech went over very well. Now back at the W.H.
