A wonderful weekend—rode on Sat. spent time by & in the pool & then back to the W.H. Received word that Dick Wirthlin is doing a nightly phone survey on the “Carter papers” bus. Apparently people think it’s much ado about nothing & my ratings have gone up. Incidentally on Fri. departure for Camp D. I stopped by press & told them I wanted a complete F.B.I. investigation of Carter papers—we have to have the truth.
