President Reagan addresses the National Convention of the American Bar Association to discuss international terrorism.
President Reagan meets with Vice President George Bush to discuss the Vice President's recent trip to Europe.
Over to Constitution Hall to address Am. Bar Assn. Convention. Spoke on international terrorism & asked their help in finding legal tools in international law etc. to combat this war on the U.S. & Democratic systems by a handful of nations that are backing the terrorists.
Lunch on the patio with Don R., Bud, Craig S. & George B. George reported on his Europe trip. I’m afraid our allies are hesitant about joining us in the terrorist fight but more on board than they have been re our S.D.I.
Then a budget briefing—dwelling on the stalemate in the Conf. Committee. Some suggested compromises I just cant buy—& most important I will not go for a tax increase. Dick Wirthlin came in with his findings on the Hostage situation & terrorism in general. My job rating went up— 69%.
