2nd anniversary of our inaugural—Nancy’s gone to her mothers in Ariz. back tomorrow. N.S.C. briefing. Then a press conf. in the press room—Went well. Lunch with V.P.—East room at 1:30 to address leaders who are making possible our youth exchange program. Later to Constitution Hall for annual Exec. forum—all our appointees. It’s always a lift to do this. They’re enthusiastic and the Marine orchestra gives an added touch. Back to office to phone calls & photos with Press office & Navy Stewards.
