Stopped by Dr’s. office & got my sneeze shot so I’ll be ready for Dr. Bookman tomorrow. Left Andrews around 10:30 A.M.—flight smooth & uneventful—but didn’t see the ground until we were only about 1 1⁄2 hours out of L.A. Cloud cover for most of the trip.
Landed 15 min. ahead of schedule at 12:25 Calif. time. We’re now at the hotel—the cold spell is still with us—temp in low 50’s. And apparently not going to get better. Word came that our young sailor injured in terrorist attack at U.S.O. club in Barcelona Spain—has died.
