President Reagan places several calls to Members of both Houses of Congress about the Budget Bill.

Most beautiful day of all & much warmer after an early morning frost. A good ride & then a late lunch (1 P.M.) with Ron & Doria. 1 P.M. turned out to be 1:30 P.M.—traffic problems. After they had lunch they went for a hike & I joined Barney & Dennis for some Oak tree pruning. Then dinner & a pleasant evening. They stayed overnight. During day I phone 2 Sens. & 2 Reps. re the Budget bill.
