An uneventful flight—got some mail & desk work done. Landed at Pt. Mugu & Marine 1 to the ranch & Nancy. Barney & Dennis on hand so I finished the afternoon doing some chores with them. In addition I dug a hole on Mt. Rhino. [. . .] Moon & Bess & Patti as well as Dennis were on hand. It was a cold, foggy & terribly rainy day—all day. Bless the Sea Bees. Our hot water heater went out on Thurs. They came down in the rain & fixed it. They can do anything. Friday dawned clear but there was about a 40 mile an hour wind all day. So another day without a ride. Anyway we got some more work done including a headstone finished & burial of Barnae. Sat was crisp but bright & calm so we finally saddled up for a morning ride. Then we cut up some downed limbs & hauled the brush to the dump. Sun. was of course as usual the most beautiful day of all for us to see as we took off at 9 A.M. for Wash. Got a lot of mail done.
