Met press again in East Room with Cap W. to give decision on strategic arms. We’re going with 100 MX missiles—1st 36 in Minute Man & Titan silos—no multiple shelter plan. We’ll study in the meantime a basing mode for the rest. Also building 100 B-1 bombers while research continues on the “Stealth.” Then off to Camp David.
