The warmest day yet—hot is the word for it. A nice ride—with a down hill near the finish that was something of an adventure for Nancy & a few of the agents. Word came that yesterday & last night storms in Northern Calif. brought on hundreds of brush & forest fires—an estimated 2,600 lightning strikes & 7,000 acres burned.
Spent the afternoon splitting & stacking the wood from the Oak tree—job finished.
