Our goodbye to the Broadduses. Our next trip the new Commander Mike Berry will be on hand.
At 11:30 A.M. took off for Wash. Lunch on the W.H. balcony at 12:15. An afternoon of homework then the evening fireworks. We are having an informal dinner for the Wicks, the Helms (Dick), Dubersteins, Dick & Patti Davis & Jeff & Marvin Hamlish—children joined us after dinner on portico (St. Floor) for fireworks display. On lawn were many of our exec. staff, employees & familys—5000 of them. A good time was had by all.
