The President and the First Lady attend the Ford's Theatre Gala.

1st day of Summer—left Camp D. early & got back to W.H. for lunch. This afternoon the reception for 300 people—entertainers & supporters of Ford Theatre. Tonite the big show at the Theatre. It was probably the best of the 6 Ford Theatre events we’ve had. Everyone had a great time. Nancy was a hit when they took her up on stage & she danced with Baryshnikov.
