President Reagan receives word that former Secretary of Labor Ray Donovan has been found innocent.
* * *
It was foggy & gray & chilly. Moved up departure time to 2 P.M. & back to the W.H. There I received word Ray Donovan & the others had been found innocent of all 10 charges. Justice has truly been done. The only injustice was that the indictment was handed down in the 1st place. I’ve always suspected some conniving in the N.Y. prosecutors office.
