My usual radio cast—then back to the house for a long afternoon of reading. About 1 P.M. report on weather indicated no ride so fellows took the Horses back to Wash. Wouldn’t you know that come riding time between 2 P.M. & 3 the clouds broke & the sun came out—then the storm clouds came back. Rcv’d. word Verne Orrs wife died. We were unable to reach him by phone.
