Rcvd. nice cable from the Pope expressing support of what we’re doing in the Argentine. Things are apparently more optimistic than previously & Al H. is there in almost round the clock meetings. If they come up with a reasonable proposal he’ll go to London with it. Rode this afternoon down by “Bessie Darlings.” First time on a horse for us since our last trip to Calif. Back to the W.H.
