President Reagan wishes Dana Rohrabacher well as he departs to run for Congress.
A bright, beautiful day. Did my morning radio broadcast in Oval O.— subject the N.A.T.O. summit. Said goodbye to one of my speechwriters who goes all the way back to Gov. days, Dana Rohrabacher. He’s going back to Calif. & run for Congress. Another of our photographers (Pete) was on hand with his sister who is in college. She has an assignment to analyze 3 of my speeches. I dug up 2 I’d written all by myself & delivered them to her. A rub down at 4 P.M. & after dinner Nancy & I went down to the family theatre & ran some home movies she had come across. They were a lot of fun.
