President Reagan attends the Annual Alfalfa Club Dinner.

Did the radio 5 mins. then went into the Roosevelt Rm. for about 45 min. of live radio interview with about 8 reporters for 8 different independent networks. Then upstairs & started on about 40 letters Anne Higgins had sent over. They were great—Soc. Security recipients urging us to cut their benefits to help with the deficit,—some mil. retirees the same & one A.F. Capt. volunteering to take a 10% pay cut. And finally the Alfalfa Club dinner. George B. took over from Sen. Sam Nunn as Pres. My remarks were well received.
