Up at 7:15—just juice then off to airport & A.F.1. Colin & Kens wives on board—also, the Wick’s & Ted Graber.
A lot of deskwork during trip. I made decision to submit pay raise recommended by commission, to Congress. It sounds like a 50% increase over 1969. Actually it doesn’t even keep pace with inflation. If it did—the $135,000 yearly increase for Congress would be $142,000.
Finally Andrews A.F. base (at 33° temp.), then the W.H. Dinner—Ted G. joined us then early to bed.
