Overview

In keeping with the Education Team’s vision of promoting civic engagement, we are pleased to once again partner with the Simi Valley Youth Council to present the annual Youth Town Hall. Area high school students have the opportunity to hear public officials discuss local and statewide civic matters ranging from education to policy-making. To maximize participation, attendees can pose their questions or share their concerns anonymously via Twitter. This year’s speakers will be announced soon.

The Youth Town Hall is open only to Simi Valley middle and high school students as well as one adult chaperone per each group of 15 students. Registration includes complimentary admission to the museum, featuring the special exhibition Lost Cities. The registration table will open at 9 a.m. on the day of the event. Following the Town Hall, students can have lunch (provided they are brought in brown bags by the school) under Air Force One and/or tour the museum.
