Overview
Join us on June 12, 2020 as we have a virtual discussion with U.S. Representative Mike Garcia, who was sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives on May 19, 2020. Congressman Garcia represents California’s 25th Congressional District, which includes the Reagan Library. During this virtual conversation, led by Reagan Foundation executive director John Heubusch, he will discuss the special election, his plans as a Congressman, and his thoughts and plans for re-opening his districts since the COVID closures. This event is free to attend and can be accessed on YouTube.com/ReaganFoundation during the event. In a May 2020 Op/Ed about taking office and representing the 25th District of California he wrote, “Helping our citizens and small businesses, battling wildfires, holding China accountable – is not and should not be partisan….it’s time to get to work.”
First generation American citizen Mike Garcia is a highly decorated United States Naval Officer whose record-setting flying performance earned him the honor of becoming one of the first Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy. He served for nearly 20 years. Congressman Garcia is a native of Santa Clarita since 1982.
