Reagan Forum with Howie Franklin, former Air Force One Flight Steward

On Monday, February 8, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation welcomed Howie Franklin – the only Flight Steward to work for five U.S. Presidents, including Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton.

Mr. Franklin shared his bird’s eye view of what it was like seeing to the needs of presidents and luminaries, their family members and staff, while cruising at 29,000 feet above sea level. What he learned from his exposure to the rich and famous was a fact he took with him through his years on Air Force One and now shares with audiences: famous people are just as human as the rest of us. And, as a storyteller, Howie Franklin shared the intimate portraits of these people just as they are: the good, the bad, and the always fascinating.
