Overview
Please join The Reagan Institute on Thursday, May 20th at 9:00 AM ET for “National Security & U.S. Manufacturing: How Can America Compete in the 21st Century?”
The virtual event will focus on the findings and national security implications of the McKinsey Global Institute’s recently-released report, “Building a More Competitive U.S. Manufacturing Sector,” which is available here. Eric Chewning from McKinsey & Company will present the key findings of the report. Mr. Chewning will then moderate a panel discussion featuring Dr. Katy George, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, Marillyn Hewson, former Chairman, President, and CEO of Lockheed Martin Corporation, and Dan Bryant, Senior Vice President of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs at Walmart Inc.
This programming is hosted by the Reagan Institute’s Center for Peace Through Strength to build on the work of its Task Force on National Security and U.S. Manufacturing Competitiveness. Ms. Hewson co-chairs the Task Force, and Dr. George and Mr. Bryant serve as members. The Task Force will release a report ahead of the 2021 Reagan National Defense Forum in December detailing findings and recommendations that will ensure the United States is prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century from a position of strength.
