Overview
On March 28, 1985, President Ronald Reagan traveled from the White House to Wall Street to become the first – and only – sitting U.S. President to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. During his remarks, he reaffirmed his commitment to the “miracle of the marketplace.”
Now, 40 years to the day later, we invite you to watch us ring the bell, as members of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute honor the President who led an economic recovery throughout his eight years in office.
