Lecture and Book Signing with Craig Shirley

Please join us for a lecture and book signing with Craig Shirley on his latest book, Citizen Newt: The Making of a Reagan Conservative (Publish Date: August 29, 2017). This event is free to attend, however books must be purchased in the Reagan Library Museum Store to receive signature.

Writing with the full cooperation of Speaker Gingrich and the players around him, Citizen Newt is the definitive, authorized biography of the one of the most important, provocative, and visionary political figures of our time.

Returning to Gingrich’s childhood in Pennsylvania and his formative years as a young history professor, Citizen Newt moves through Gingrich’s first forays into politics and takes readers behind the scenes of the Congressman’s crucial role in the Reagan Revolution, his battles with George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, and his masterly orchestration of 1994s “Gingrich Revolution” and the Contract with America, which catapulted him to national prominence and forever changed congressional and national politics.

Craig Shirley is the author of four bestsellers on former U.S. president Ronald Reagan –Rendezvous with Destiny: Ronald Reagan and the Campaign that Changed America (2014), Reagan’s Revolution: The Untold Story of the Campaign That Started It All (2005), Last Act: The Final Years and emerging Legacy of Ronald Reagan (2015), and Reagan Rising: The Decisive Years, 1976-1980 (2017).
