“Good evening. I am here tonight to announce my intention to seek the Republican
nomination for President of the United States.”
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of this historic occasion, The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is pleased to host Craig Shirley for a lecture and book signing of his latest book, Rendezvous with Destiny: Ronald Reagan and the Campaign that Changed America on Thursday, November 12, 2009 for a 4:00 p.m. book signing followed by a 5:00 p.m. lecture. Rendezvous with Destiny details Ronald Reagan’s 1980 Campaign. The lecture and book signing are free to attend; however, reservations are recommended.
Craig Shirley is President and CEO of Shirley & Banister Public Affairs, which he founded in 1984. The firm is internationally recognized among public opinion leaders and the national media as a leading marketer of right of center thought.
Shirley is also the bestselling author of Reagan’s Revolution: The Untold Story of the Campaign That Started It All, which detailed Ronald Reagan’s pivotal 1976 presidential campaign. It was released by Nelson Current Publishing in January 2005. Favorable reviews appeared in many publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Shirley, a 1978 graduate of Springfield College, was recognized as the school’s “Outstanding Alumnus of 2005.”
